Social values and the election

"Values" were named by many voters as their reason for voting for Bush rather than Kerry. The tendency of many Democratic movers and shakers to see those in fly-over country as a bunch of gun-totin', Bible-thumpin' rednecks didn't help their cause on Tuesday. John Kerry's hunting costume didn't fix the problem either.
