How do you say "An armed society is a polite society" in Arabic?

In light of recent terrorist attacks, Saudi Arabia says foreigners can carry guns. Arms are limited to those allowed to the foreigners in their homelands; which is probably an acceptable restriction to Americans still there!

Muddled polling

Another muddled gun control poll is out there. This poll from Harris claims that 52% of Americans "Favor stricter gun control laws". But, as is usually the case, "stricter" isn't defined. And proof that "stricter" may not mean what the likes of DiFi would wish is in the second part of the poll. When asked which candidate would "do a better job on the gun control issue", 29% said President Bush; 25% answered John Kerry.

Also of note in the poll is how support for "strict" gun control laws has dropped over the years. In 1998, 68% favored "stricter" laws. In 2000, that number had dropped to 63%. Perhaps more people are realizing that gun control doesn't work as advertised.
